Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges.
As a part of COM 450, also known as Multimedia Journalism at Elon University, a team of six students explored autism resources in Alamance County, North Carolina.
Through interviews with school officials, experts in autism research and therapy and community members looking to make a difference, we’ve captured the issues faced by those affected by ASD.
Our final body of work combines the written word with multimedia elements like video, infographics and photography.
